Detailed Process Steps

Phase 01

Requirement Submission

Share your project requirements with us in the format most convenient for you. We can review technical drawings, CAD files, physical samples, reference products, material requirements, or even an initial concept description. Our team will use these inputs to understand your needs and determine the next evaluation steps.

What You Can Submit

  • 2D / 3D Engineering Drawings
  • Physical Samples or Prototypes
  • Reference Products for Reverse Design
  • Functional & Performance Specifications
  • Material Compliance Requirements
  • Conceptual Descriptions or Sketches
Phase 02

Engineering Evaluation

Our engineering team conducts a thorough manufacturability assessment of your submitted requirements. We analyze the profile cross-section geometry, verify raw material compatibility, assess process feasibility, and identify any structural challenges upfront -- so there are no surprises later.

Our Engineering Review Covers

  • A
    Cross-section Feasibility
Geometry complexity, wall thickness uniformity, draft angles and structural integrity analysis.
  • B
    Material Selection & Compatibility
Matching resin grades, co-extrusion material bonding verification, compliance with RoHS / REACH / CE standards.
  • C
    Process Route Determination
    Selecting optimal extrusion method: single-material, copper-plastic co-extrusion, two-color, soft-hard or magnetic-plastic co-extrusion.
Phase 03

Solution Confirmation

We present our engineering evaluation findings, recommended process route, material proposal, and preliminary cost estimate. You review and approve the plan before any tooling investment is made. Nothing proceeds without your explicit confirmation -- protecting your budget and ensuring alignment.

You Receive
  • Manufacturability report
  • Process recommendation
  • Material specification
  • Tooling cost estimate
  • Unit price indication
You Decide
  • Approve or request revision
  • Adjust design if needed
  • Confirm material grade
  • Authorize tooling start
Phase 04

Tooling & Prototype Development

Our tooling team develops extrusion dies based on the confirmed profile design, followed by trial extrusion and process optimization. Key parameters are adjusted to achieve stable dimensions, appearance and production performance before sample approval.

Tooling Development Milestones

1
Die design & CNC machining
2
Initial trial extrusion run
3
Parameter optimization & die adjustment
4
Sample production & client shipment
Phase 05

Sample Validation

Prototype samples are shipped to you for hands-on evaluation against your actual application requirements. We run comprehensive in-house testing simultaneously -- covering dimensional tolerances, surface finish, mechanical performance, and functional properties. Your feedback drives any final adjustments before production authorization.

Mass Production & Ongoing Supply

With validated tooling and approved samples locked in, we transition to full-scale production. Our 10 professional extrusion lines run under standardized quality control -- three-stage inspection at incoming, in-process, and pre-shipment stages -- ensuring every delivery batch matches your approved specifications, order after order.

Quality Assurance Built Into Every Step

Three-Stage Inspection. Zero Compromise.

Stage 01

Incoming Material Inspection

All incoming raw materials are tested for performance consistency and environmental compliance -- verifying resin grades, melt flow index, and regulatory conformance before any production begins.

Stage 02

In-Process Quality Control

Real-time monitoring of profile dimensions, surface quality, and process parameter stability throughout the production run. Deviations are caught and corrected immediately -- not after the fact.

Stage 03

Pre-Shipment Final Inspection

Every finished goods batch undergoes a full check against your approved technical specifications before dispatch. Dimensional reports and compliance certificates are provided with each shipment.

Why First-Time Clients Choose OKAWA

Built to reduce uncertainty at every collaboration stage.

Rapid Engineering Response

Manufacturability assessment returned within 1-2 business days. No waiting weeks for a quote that tells you nothing useful.

Transparent Communication

Dedicated project contact for every engagement. You always know where your project stands -- no black boxes, no surprises.

Nothing Proceeds Without Approval

Tooling does not start until you approve the engineering plan. Production does not start until you approve the samples. Your sign-off is required at every gate.

20+ Years of Special Process Mastery

Copper-plastic, two-color, magnetic-plastic, soft-hard co-extrusion -- capabilities that most standard profile suppliers simply cannot offer.

Fully Compliant Materials

All materials and finished products conform to RoHS, REACH, CE, CB, and UL international environmental and safety regulations -- ready for global markets.

One Supplier, Full Supply Chain

Extrusion, post-processing, assembly, and packaging handled under one roof. Fewer suppliers to manage, fewer coordination risks, faster delivery.

Common Questions

First-time client questions, answered.

I only have a rough idea or sketch -- can I still contact you?

Absolutely. We work with clients at all stages of product development. Whether you have detailed engineering drawings or just a concept sketch and a functional requirement, our engineering team can help translate your idea into a manufacturable design. The earlier you involve us, the better we can optimize for production.

What is the minimum order quantity for sampling and mass production?

Sampling quantities are project-specific and typically small -- enough for functional testing and approval. For mass production, MOQs vary depending on profile complexity, material, and tooling amortization. We support both small-batch trial orders for new product launches and long-term bulk supply programs. Contact us with your requirements for a specific assessment.

How long does the entire process take from first contact to mass production?

Engineering evaluation takes 1-2 business days. Tooling development typically requires 15-20 business days for standard profiles. Sample validation and client approval add another 1-2 weeks depending on feedback cycles. For straightforward projects, clients can expect to move from first contact to approved samples in approximately 4-6 weeks. Complex co-extrusion projects may take longer due to additional process development.

Is my design information kept confidential?

Yes. We take intellectual property protection seriously. We are happy to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) before reviewing any proprietary drawings or design information. All client data is handled internally and never shared with third parties. Your product design remains exclusively yours.

Do you supply to companies outside China?

Yes. We serve global manufacturing partners across Europe, the United States, Japan, and other international markets. Our products comply with RoHS, REACH, CE, CB, and UL standards to meet international regulatory requirements. We handle export documentation and can work with your preferred logistics and freight forwarding arrangements.
